Lichfield's James Austin earns Scotland call for Glasgow 2014

Lichfield judoka James Austin has been selected for the Scotland squad for Glasgow 2014.

The London Olympian is in a 14-strong team which also includes Shrewsbury's Sarah Adlington.

Austin qualified for Team GB at London 2012 but was beaten by Japan's Takamasa Anai in the first round.

Judo returns to the Commonwealth Games for the first time since Manchester in 2002.

Team Scotland Chef de Mission Jon Doig said: "Judo was our most successful sport when it was last included in a Games programme and we have a strong line-up once again."
