The 1991 Crucible titlist will take the stage at the Cleveland Arms Sports Bar, on Stowheath Lane, on Thursday night.

The 51-year-old from Liverpool won the world title with a thrilling 18-11 win over Jimmy White in 1991 and was runner-up two years previously, when he was thumped 18-3 by Steve Davis.

He has plenty of stories to tell about his glittering career and his time as a television personality. He most recently served as a BBC pundit for the 2016 World Championship.

Parrott, who compiled 221 centuries during his career, is relishing the prospect of his rare appearance in the Black Country.

His show will include a question and answer session with Sky Sports and TalkSPORT broadcaster Nigel Pearson, from Wombourne.

Parrott said: "Snooker is pretty healthy in the West Midlands. I know it's a hotbed around the Wolverhampton area.

"I'm looking forward to the night at the Cleveland Arms, meeting fans and having a good chat with the people there."

Limited VIP tickets remain which include priority seating, buffet and a signed picture with Parrott. Standard tickets cost £10 and are available from the Cleveland Arms on 01902 451 021.

They can also be purchased online, at www.clevelandarms.com or www.sportstalkevents.co.uk. There will some available on the night, along with photo opportunities.
