Michael Cain given extra month at Walsall
Walsall have confirmed the loan stay of Leicester City midfielder Michael Cain has been extended by a further month.
Manager Dean Smith had already revealed a deal to keep the 19-year-old had been agreed and the necessary paperwork has now been completed.
Cain, who has spent the last four weeks at the Banks's, will be available for tomorrow's FA Cup clash with Shrewsbury.
"It's been a great experience for me so far and one that I am looking forward to continuing," said Cain. "I knew this was a tough League but it's been a challenge that I have thrived on, to be honest.
"The style of play here suits me down to the ground and I was more than happy to extend my stay.
"The coaching staff and my team-mates have been unbelievable and even though I've only been here a month, I feel that I have learned a lot already.
"There is nothing better than being out there and playing games and it's been a busy schedule, with plenty more games on the horizon."
Cain has impressed in his six appearances to date and though the Saddlers were beaten 1-0 at Crawley in his first, they have been unbeaten in the last five games and he added: "We're still involved in two Cup competitions as well as continuing our climb up the League, so there is plenty to be positive about and I am delighted to be part of it."
