First-year Walsall professional Jake Heath today had his loan deal at Leamington extended by a further month following some impressive displays.
“The standard of football is good, better than I initially thought it would be,” admitted the youth team product.
“It’s very competitive and you don't get too much time on the ball, but I am enjoying it and feel that I have done well so far.
“It’s nice to play regularly and get good feedback from the coaching staff here.
“Hopefully now my deal has been extended I can continue to improve.
“I feel that I’ve gained much more confidence in myself and knowing that Dean Smith and his staff are keeping a close eye on my progress only acts to inspire me even more.
“It makes me want to impress and really make an impact by showing what I am capable of.
“Leamington have a nice set-up; the pitch is good and the people at the club have really helped me to settle in.
“I just want to continue to do my best for them and possibly weigh in with a goal or two along the way.”
Heath is a midfield man who likes to get forward at every opportunity.
