Boss Dean Smith today praised Aaron McCarey’s maturity and insisted the Walsall loan star is better than ever.
The Wolves loanee re-joined the Saddlers until the end of the season last month.
With McCarey tied down for the League One run-in, Smith has been impressed with the 21-year-old’s development. He said: “Aaron has settled in really well and looks better than when he first came in.
“He has got over that initial honeymoon period of making his full league debut, coming in and then going back to Wolves. But he’s come back and looks a more mature goalkeeper.”
