Andy Butler targets home wins for Walsall FC
Skipper Andy Butler today targeted ending Walsall’s home heartache.
The Saddlers face back-to-back home games with Yeovil next Saturday and Colchester on December 22 aiming to kick-start their season again.
They then go to MK Dons and Leyton Orient in Christmas week and Butler knows the Saddlers could do with some festive cheer after eight winless games at the Banks’s Stadium.
“We need to start picking up wins at home. On paper they are two winnable games for us but it’s football and you never know what could happen,” he said, ahead of today’s trip to Coventry.
“Our home record has not been as good as it should. We’ve been playing better football away from home but it’s not for the want of trying at home.”
