An early Jazz Luckie goal proved enough for league leaders Stafford Rangers as they left Gresley with all three points.

The strike came after just nine minutes, after Matt Wood's shot was blocked in front of goal.

And Luckie was first onto the rebound and drilled his shot through a crowded area. He could have made it 2-0 moments later, but his effort was blocked by goalkeeper Lloyd Ransome.

The visitors continued to dominate possession with Ben Haseley denied by Ransome, before Wayne Daniel headed a corner over the Gresley target.

Gresley went close to levelling when Jordan Ball fired wide before Jack Langston, playing against his former club, was denied by Rangers goalkeeper Adam Whitehouse.

Jordan Bell wasted a second-half chance for the hosts, while Stafford ace Luckie was denied late when Ransome pulled off a spectacular save.
