Hockaday made four changes to the team beaten at Macclesfield as newcomers Ben Whitfield and Joe Ward, signed on loan from AFC Bournemouth and Albion respectively, came in for the injured Jordan Jones and Joe Clark, Reece Styche was replaced by Callum Hassan and Lathaniel Rowe Turner in place of injured Kevin Toner.

Harrierswere soon forced on the defensive and again their inability to defend set pieces contributed to the game's opening goal from a corner when Joe Ward's inswinging corner and the ball ricocheted into the net off the legs of Dean Snedker.

Harriers clawed themselves back into the game the pace of Zaine Francis-Angol causing problems and on 38 minutes the drew level Joe Ward and Jared Hodgkiss swapped passes near the edge of the box, Hodgkiss laid it infield where Callum Hassan mis-kicked with his first effort but reacted to slam the ball into the roof of the net.

On 75 minutes debutant Ben Whitfield took advantage of a mistake by Gianluca Havern to run on and fire the ball inside Deacy's right hand post to put Harriers ahead.

It set up a frantic finale which ended in despair for Harriers as Hodgkiss was adjudged to have fouled James Lawrie near the edge of the box. Sinnott rolled the ball into Rankine's path and the ball flew into the bottom left hand corner of the net for a late equaliser.
