Harriers boss John Eustace fielded a different XI in each half and saw his side nose in front from the penalty spot.

Andre Brown was the man on target after Ousmane Fane had been fouled. That lead was cancelled out within minutes, when Richard Gregory netted.

But Eustace was satisfied with his side's afternoon, saying: "I was happy, it was a very good work-out for the boys. There was lots to work on, which was good."

Harriers are in action on Saturday when they take on Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion at Aggborough.

Chris Lait struck twice as Stourbridge came from behind to claim the pre-season spoils at Leamington.

Lait levelled the scores midway through the first-half, with new signing Jake Heath adding a second for the Glassboys before the break.

In the second half, Lait and trialist Brad Birch netted further goals to seal a 4-1 win.

Malcolm Melvin bagged a hat-trick as Halesowen Town eased to a 9-0 friendly success at Tipton Town.

Ashley Sammons grabbed the only goal of the game as Hednesford Town warmed-up for the new season with a 1-0 win over Chasetown at Keys Park.

Sammons struck in the 67th minute, firing home after George Carline had headed down Tristan Dunkley's cross.

Other friendly encounters saw Team Dudley beat Hampton 4-1, while Darlaston and Willenhall Town battled out a 2-2 draw.
