Khalsa earned their place in the final with a 2-1 win over Midland Premier rivals Alvechurch on Thursday night at AFC Wulfrunians' Castlecroft Stadium.

The night prior, Lichfield City defeated Wolverhampton Sporting 3-0 in the other semi-final, also at Castlecroft.

However, Lichfield have now been removed from the competition due to fielding an ineligible player and Wolverhampton Sporting will take their place in the final at the home of Wolves.

Lichfield opted to not play in the Walsall Senior Cup final earlier this month due to it being moved from the Banks's Stadium to Chasetown's Scholars Ground.

They released a statement, which reads: "Due to a paperwork error it has transpired we played an ineligible player against Wolverhampton Sporting in the semi-final of the JW Hunt Cup.

"Sporting will replace us in the final against Khalsa. We can assure you it is a genuine mistake and we are all gutted at Lichfield City FC."
