The result means that if Rangers win their last two games, they will be crowned Evo-Stik First Division South champions.

Rangers led 2-0 at the interval before two second-half strikes from Drayton levelled matters, but a 78th-minute goal from skipper Christian Dacres secured the points.

Kitching said: "I was really proud to be the manager of Stafford Rangers, after our performance against a good side."

Rangers took the lead on 34 minutes when Ben Haseley forced the ball over the line, after Dacres had headed down a Levi Reid cross.

Dacres then made it 2-0 before the break before two second-half goals from the home side's James Bennett-Tindall and James O'Neill stunned the travelling faithful, only to lose in the end.
