The Pics started brightly against a youthful visiting side and should have taken the lead earlier in the Birmingham Senior Cup tie.

Alex Reid burst onto a loose ball, but only succeeded in heading the ball over goalkeeper Alex Palmer and wide.

Zak Martin had the ball in the net for the Pics with a superbly finished volley at the back post, but a linesman's flag ensured the score remained 0-0.

Josh Ezewele curled the Baggies' first effort on target but Pics' new goalkeeper, Lewis Fenney, did well to push the ball away.

James Smith had the ball in the net for Albion but the score remained 0-0 thanks to another offside call.

The hosts took the lead in the 57th minute when Josh McKenzie fired the ball across goal and Gavin Caines was there to tap home from close range.

Ten minutes later and the home side doubled their lead, as the impressive Reid burst through the middle and fired in past Palmer.
