The 30-year-old is back at Aggborough, where he spent the 2008-09 campaign, on a contract until the end of the season.

Lowe was a free agent since leaving Football League side York City in December, a decision by the club that surprised some of their fans.

The right-back had won four end-of-seasons awards at the culmination of the 2014-15 campaign and made 20 more appearances this season.

The Wolverhampton-born stopper, who came through the ranks at Wolves to play 14 first-team games, is now back in non-league football for the first time since leaving Harriers.

And he said: ""Being bottom of the league doesn't scare me at all. It's just a place in the league and, for me, the season starts now.

"I am not worried about what's happened in the first half of the season. We have to concentrate on this second half, start picking up points and see where we can get."

Meanwhile, stand-in boss Colin Gordon's first game in charge of Harriers away to Braintree Town tonight has been postponed.

Harriers have now not kicked a ball in anger since their 3-0 defeat to Forest Green on December 28.

They are currently on a six-game losing streak and sit bottom of the National League Premier, 12 points adrift of safety.

Gordon is at the helm following the departure of head coach Dave Hockaday after three months.
