Winger Wright had already made the move from the Hawthorns when Campbell joined him, another temporary move on a youth agreement.

Both are spending until January with Harriers, who kick off their National League campaign at home to Grimsby Town tomorrow, with a recall option for Albion after 28 days.

They are two of several Harriers new-boys standing by to face the Mariners, with boss Gary Whild refusing to set his sights low despite a summer of transition at Aggborough.

A cash shortage has meant major squad changes, with new chairman Rod Brown urging fans to be realistic.

But Whild said: "The chairman has been transparent and honest, but you don't start the season aiming for fifth from bottom.

"Last season we got off to a good start, everybody was saying it was the best for years, and we'll try to emulate that. There's no better and bigger test than the favourites for the league."

Whild has added goalkeeper Dean Snedker and wide man Adam Dawson to his squad, while Wright and Campbell are now on board. Fans have responded with 600 season ticket sales.

Whild said: "The support from the spectators, in terms of season tickets, has been great because that's probably allowed us to bring in one or two more players which makes us more competitive.

"The message has gone out from the club and the fans have embraced that. We feel we've been able to put a competitive squad together."

Brown said: "It's been a very, very challenging time, but everyone's come together and we've turned a lot of negatives into positives."
