The forward, who scored the Pirelli Stadium club's first ever professional goal in the Football League, follows Mike Taylor through the door at the Grove.

He has appeared for Nuneaton, Kidderminster Harriers, Hednesford Town and Bishops Stortford in recent years since dropping out of the professional game.

Yeltz boss John Hill was upbeat with his latest capture.

"We are delighted Greg has put pen to paper," he said.

"I see Greg as a big coup for us and we are sure that his experience and profile will be invaluable for us all.

"We just missed out on him last season as he went back to his old Bishops Stortford side, but to have him on board at the start of the season is a massive boost and I look forward to working with him.

Thirty-year-old Pearson arrived at Burton Albion as part of a £10,000 deal after firing 32 goals for Stortford in the Conference South, earning him the division's Player of the Season and Golden Boot awards.
