New Stafford Rangers boss Neil Kitching today called on the club to unite for a brighter future.

The former Rushall boss wants to revive the Marston Road club after they dropped out of the Northern Premier League. Kitching becomes Rangers' fourth manager in less than 12 months after being appointed yesterday.

And after three relegations in six years, the new manager is eager to rediscover the feel-good factor.

"I can't wait to start and will be proud to wear the badge. It's now time for everyone to pull together and look to the future," said Kitching.

"I am determined to change the fortunes of Stafford Rangers."

We are a team with a proud history and while our difficulties have been well documented, I believe that we can succeed. I am good at building a team with spirit, talent and a winning mentality.

"I was impressed by the vision of the new management team and their uncompromising attitude to changing things both on and off the pitch.

"There is an excellent youth squad set-up and I believe that by working together we can drive success in all areas."

He is joined by Nick Amos as assistant manager and former Rangers captain Wayne Daniel as player-coach.

Kitching left Rushall this month saying he was looking for a new challenge.

He follows Graham Heathcote, who left by mutual consent this month, with Andy Mutch and Greg Clowes also having spells in charge last season.

A statement from the Rangers board read: "We believe that we have the right man and he was our first choice for the position.

"Neil is experienced, young and hungry, has good contacts, excellent management skills and above all a determination to succeed.

"The last two seasons have been a nightmare for all the supporters but we have spent a great deal of time in the past few weeks putting plans in place to change many aspects of the club. We believe this will be the turning point."
