Tony Breeden set for Harriers debut
Friday 4th November 2011, 6:45AM GMT.
Kidderminster Harriers could hand a debut to new signing Tony Breeden in goal for the Blue Square Premier clash against Tamworth at Aggborough.
Breeden joined as a free agent on Wednesday after leaving Leamington, but was cup-tied for Harriers’ FA Cup replay at Corby that night.
Dean Lyness then conceded four as Harriers went down 4-1 against Blue Square North opposition, which could mean the axe for the current custodian tomorrow.
Lyness has only managed to keep two clean sheets in eight games since replacing Danny Lewis, who is out for the season after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament.
Breeden has been brought in more as competition than as an understudy and, with manager Steve Burr still fuming after Wednesday’s cup exit, could get an immediate chance.
