Danny Lewis’ season over at Harriers
Thursday 27th October 2011, 6:46AM BST.
Kidderminster Harriers today confirmed they will be without goalkeeper Daniel Lewis for the rest of the season after cruciate ligament knee surgery.
Lewis picked up the injury at the end of last month in training and, although the proceedure was a success, the Player of the Year’s campaign has come to an end.
Surgeon Nadim Aslam, who carried out the operation, said: “Daniel had a complete anterior cruciate ligament injury with minimal associated cartilage damage which was repaired.
“He will now need an intensive rehabilitation programme. I was very pleased with the result of the surgery. We expect Daniel to make a good recovery.
“He is out for the season, but we are optimistic about his future.”
