Kidderminster Harriers hail supporters

Kidderminster Harriers chairman Mark Serrell has told supporters to ‘keep it up’ as a healthy amount of fans continue to pour through the turnstiles at Aggborough.

Harriers have only failed to attract less than 1,500 supporters for a home game once this season and recorded their biggest gate of the campaign at the start of the month.

The visit of Luton on Saturday October 8 pulled in 3,332 fans while 2,440 saw the following home game with AFC Telford, on a Tuesday night.

The season average, so far, is around the 1,800 mark, more than 300 up on last season, as the team again look to challenge for a Blue Square Premier play-off place.

The upturn in attendances at the back end of 2011-12 allowed manager Steve Burr to assemble a squad of 22 players for the current campaign, which has proved invaluable after a horror injury run of late.
