Kidderminster Harriers sign David Bird
Friday 21st October 2011, 6:46AM BST.
Kidderminster Harriers have signed long-serving Cheltenham midfielder David Bird on a month’s loan in time for their trip to Barrow.
The 26-year-old, who has made 289 appearances in nine years at Whaddon Road, leaves his first and only club to move to Aggborough.
Bird has been allowed to leave, temporarily, by former Harriers boss Mark Yates, who left to take charge of the Robins in December 2009.
His arrival eases an absentee list for tomorrow’s game at Holker Street that contains two midfielders and Bird is eager to play.
He said: “When you aren’t playing games, sometimes you need to get yourself away and that can give you the bit of hunger that you’re missing.”
