It was a great moment for Joao Gomes and Wolves to see the midfielder play for Brazil against England at Wembley.

Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes in action for Brazil in their victory over England at Wembley – he has proved to be a superb asset at Molineux

It proves how far the club has come in recent years and it’s amazing for the young midfielder to get this opportunity in such a big game.

I was delighted for him and it was an impressive performance as well.

He did really well and did exactly what he normally does, which is interrupt play and make things difficult for the opposition.

He was also nice and tidy in possession and did really well. He didn’t look fazed against big players like Jude Bellingham.

Gomes won all his tackles, interceptions and is exceptional at recovering the ball.

I’m pleased for him and more importantly, that he came through the game unscathed.
