Wolves fans make long awaited return to Molineux for Nuno's final game - with PICTURES and VIDEO

Due to coronavirus restrictions, fans have been forced to stay away from stadia across the country - but as those restrictions loosen, supporters have been given the opportunity to watch their teams in the flesh over the past week.

Wolves welcome 4,500 fans into Molineux as they face Manchester United - a game which will have little impact on the final standings, but represents a huge shift for fans keen to return to grounds.

Government guidelines state that 10,000 or 25 per cent of a grounds capacity, whichever is smaller, can be filled with fans - but following discussions over social distancing and safety measures Molineux will only accept 4,500, despite having a capacity of just under 32,000.

It's the only chance any supporters will have this season to see their side in person, but is also the final time fans will see Nuno Espirito Santo in charge of the club - following the shock announcement of his exit following the conclusion of the campaign.

Countless supporters gathered outside the ground ahead of kick off to show their support for the departing Portuguese boss, who helped guide the club out of the Championship and to two consecutive seventh-placed finishes.

He went on to lead the side on a European tour, becoming Europa League quarter-finalists, losing to eventual winners Sevilla last season. His success helped him become a cult figure within the city, and one of the club's most loved managers in recent history.

Wolves currently sit 12th in the table, having been seriously hit by injuries to key players over the course of the year.

The club cannot finish any higher than that, regardless of their result against United, but could fall as far as 15th if they lose and results go against them.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa welcome back fans for their final day clash with Chelsea, whilst West Brom travel to Leeds - having already welcomed fans back to The Hawthorns earlier this week.
