Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo insists Pedro Neto will be assessed heading into tomorrow's clash with Burnley after suffering 'strong cramp' this past weekend.

The Portuguese winger was forced off in the 3-0 win over Everton on Sunday, shortly into the second half.

Neto has been training with fitness coach Antonio Dias since, and Nuno confirmed it is not the same issue he picked up against Arsenal a couple of weeks ago.

The Wolves chief said: "He's one of the issues we have to assess.

"It's a fresh one. The other one was a direct impact on his quadriceps. This was one was cramp, strong cramp, so he was not able to continue.

"He is recovering. He trained today with the fitness coach, so let's see how he is tomorrow. These are things we have to assess calmly and properly."

While Neto needs to be checked over, Daniel Podence is thought to be fine for the trip to Turf Moor (6pm) after his mightily impressive first Premier League start against the Toffees.

Nuno added on the £17million January signing: "From the moment he joined us, and even before, we knew him and the talent he has.

"He showed that on Sunday. This is what it's all about. Hopefully, all the players we decide to use on Wednesday have good performances."
