West Ham manager David Moyes has suggested that on-loan winger Grady Diangana will remain at West Brom for the rest of the season after picking up an injury last night against Stoke.

Moyes has until January 27 to make a decision on whether to recall the 21-year-old after impressing during his time at The Hawthorns, but Moyes has now said that Diangana will most likely stay at Albion for the remainder of the season.

“It was a big consideration,” said Moyes after being asked whether he had thought about recalling the winger.

“His injury last night has put paid to him coming back. We are so short of players just now, [it'll be] maybe a month's time when he’s recovered.

“He’ll probably stay there until the end of the season. We think [Josh] Cullen getting games for Charlton is the best thing, too.”

West Brom were already working on a loan deal that would have seen Diangana remain at the club this season, and were preparing to offer as much as £3million to secure his services for the next 18 months.

However, his new injury means that those negotiations have now become redundant.
