West Brom and Walsall handed home ties in Carabao Cup first round

Albion have been handed a home tie with Championship rivals Millwall in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

The Baggies will host the Lions at The Hawthorns twice in the opening days of the season.

Slaven Bilic's men are scheduled to first welcome them on Saturday, August 10 in their Championship home opener, with the cup tie then taking place the following midweek on a day still to be confirmed.

Walsall are at home to League Two rivals Crawley Town in the first round of the cup following last night’s draw, which took place in a north London supermarket.

Blues have been drawn away to Portsmouth.
