Albion, who are still to appoint a new boss, will travel to Spain on July 8 to prepare for the 2019/20 Championship season - which begins in the first week of August.

That trip onto the continent will be capped with a friendly clash with Villarreal on July 13.

The kick-off time is yet to be confirmed, although Albion have announced that admission to the game will be free of charge.

It will be the first meeting between Albion and Villarreal, who finished 14th in the Spanish top flight last season, and will be played at Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor, with a capacity of 9,000.

The Spanish side, who managed to make the quarter-finals of the Europa League last season, featured the likes of Santi Cazorla, Sergio Asenjo, Mario Gaspar, Gerard Moreno and Carlos Bacca in their squad over the 2018/19 campaign. They are managed by former midfielder Javier Calleja.

The club are set to provide updates for fans looking to travel with the side to watch the encounter.

That game is the fourth pre-season clash confirmed by the Baggies, who will also face Scunthorpe, Rotherham and Bournemouth ahead of their second straight campaign in the Championship.
