Ismail was one of 11 players let go last month by new Saddlers boss Darrell Clarke following the club’s relegation from League One.

And the 25-year-old has now agreed terms with the Bantams, who were also demoted from the third tier last term.

Ismail, who began his career at Wolves, will officially become a Bradford player next month when his Walsall contract expires.

He joined the Saddlers last summer on a one-year contract, having made 20 appearances while on loan from Bury.

Ismail went on to make a further 32 League One appearances in a season which ended with Walsall 22nd in the table, two places above the rock bottom Bantams.
