Glassboys fail to break deadlock

The Glassboys started brightly at the War Memorial Ground with skipper Ellis Deeney going close early on but his effort went over the bar.

Forward Darryl Knights was next to have an opportunity for the home side midway through the first period only to see his effort thwarted by the ‘Church keeper.

Midfielder Alex Fletcher had the best opportunity to seal the points in the second half but his shot again flew just over the bar.

n Hednesford Town have allowed young full-back Ryan Campbell-Gordon to return to parent club Port Vale after ending his loan spell at Keys Park.

The 19-year-old made three starts and one substitute appearance for the Pitmen, who are currently 20th in the Southern Central Premier.

They host Bromsgrove Sporting at Keys Park tonight, hoping to record their second victory of the season to lift them clear of the danger zone.
