The 26-year-old has agreed to the move, after leaving fellow Southern League Central Premier side Bromsgrove Sporting.

He arrives at Keys Park with experience at higher levels, having played 142 times in the National League.

Richards has turned out for several clubs including Brighton & hove Albion, Torquay United, Macclesfield Town and Solihull Moors.

Comfortable in both the centre of midfield and in attacking positions, Richards should add versatility to Keenen Meakin-Richards’ squad.

“Courtney is a very good signing for the club,” the manager said.

“I feel we will get the best out of him with the way we play, his attitude is spot on and he really wanted to come here to play his football despite lucrative offers elsewhere which to me is the kind of character we want here.

“Ability-wise you don’t play at the level he has without having something about you and im looking forward to seeing him out on the pitch for us soon when we get back.”
