Shirts off if you love the Yeltz: Wembley beckons for Halesowen Town
Halesowen Town fans are dreaming of watching their side at Wembley with The Yeltz just one tie away.
The Yeltz were roared into the semi-finals of the FA Trophy – non-league’s FA Cup – by 650 travelling supporters at Barnet’s Hive on Saturday.
It is the third National League Premier side in a row to fall victim to history-making Halesowen, who play three divisions below in Southern Central One, the fourth tier of non-league football.
More coverage:
They had already knocked out Maidenhead United and FC Halifax Town from the National Premier, as well as three other teams from higher-divisions during their 13-match run to the semi-finals – the first time they have reached that stage in their 149-year history.
All eyes will be on this afternoon’s draw – with Notts County, Harrogate Town or Concord Rangers the other sides awaiting their fate for the two-legged ties.
