The Championship side will head to the Banks's Stadium on Tuesday, July 17 with the match set to kick-off at 7.45pm.

A pre-season friendly between the two teams has become something of a tradition over the past few years.

Last summer the teams played out a goalless draw in a match watched by more than 7,000 spectators.

The Saddlers have also confirmed they will travel to take on Rushall Olympic in a friendly on Friday, July 6.

The match, which looks set to be the first friendly of the summer, will kick off at 7.30pm.

Alongside those games, the Saddlers announced earlier this week Dutch giants Ajax are also heading to the West Midlands.

The four time European Cup winners will take on Dean Keates' side at the Banks's on Thursday, July 19.

Erik ten Hag's men are also playing Wolves on the same day.

But fans will still hope to get a glimpse of star players including Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Kasper Dolberg and 19-year-old whizzkid, Justin Kluivert, son of Dutch legend Patrick.

Walsall have also confirmed they will take on Cheltenham in a friendly on Saturday, July 28.

The clash at Whaddon Road will kick-off at 3pm.
