Birmingham defender David Murphy wants a game of one half for Blues
Friday 30th December 2011, 5:00PM GMT.
Birmingham full-back David Murphy is looking for a game of one half when Blues welcome Blackpool to St Andrew’s in their last game of 2011.
Chris Hughton’s men stuttered in the first period at home to West Ham on Monday, but they were far better in the second-half.
It was through Murphy’s header that they claimed a point and that’s the sort of form that the defender wants to see tomorrow.
He said: “We found the first-half tough because we were up against one of the best teams in the division.
“We did struggle a little bit in the first-half but, in the second-half, I think we deserved to get something out of the game based on our performance.
“We’ve had a few games lately where we’ve lost by the odd goal, but I think you go through periods like that in the season.
“But, hopefully, our bad spell is out of the way and we can move onto Blackpool and look for a victory.”
