Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Birmingham drifted further down the Championship table after they were edged out at Crystal Palace.
Blues switched off late on and it cost them a point at Selhurst Park, Kagisho Dikgacoi stealing in to head home Darren Ambrose’s corner and settle the game with six minutes to go.
Both goalkeepers had performed heroics to keep the game goalless.
Boaz Myhill had to dive full length to keep out Mile Jedinak’s stinging 25-yard volley in the first-half, while Palace custodian Julian Speroni somehow denied Stephen Caldwell.
But a goal from Dikgacoi in the 84th minute defeated Blues and, after going out of the Europa League on Thursday, that sinking feeling was back for Chris Hughton’s men.
It leaves them 14th in the Championship but still only six points from the play-offs, with two games in hand on everyone above them in the division.
