Birmingham 3 Millwall 0

A hat-trick from on-loan Albion striker Chris Wood saw Birmingham romp to a home win over Millwall.

A career-best display from Wood, who struck in the first-half and twice after the break, led to his first goals in the Championship for Blues.

The New Zealand international first pounced in the 29th minute, converting a Jean Beausejour cross after the Chile winger was fed by Morgaro Gomis.

His second goal on 62 minutes was the pick of the bunch, a bullet shot that flew past David Forde and into the Millwall goal to put Blues in command.

A win for the home side was completed with Wood’s hat-trick strike in the last minute, the 19-year-old heading in Chris Burke’s cross to round off a satisfying win for Chris Hughton’s men.
