Scott Dann leaves Blues for £6m

Birmingham defender Scott Dann has completed a £6million move to Blackburn.

Dann underwent a medical at Ewood Park today, before signing a four-year contract with the Premier League club.

The 24-year-old had been linked with several clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool, following Blues’ relegation to the Championship.

Dann joined Birmingham from Coventry in 2009 for £3.5million and has made 50 league starts for the club.

But last season was cut short for the former Walsall defender, after he sustained a hamstring tear in January.

Why are we not going for him! He is better than our defenders!

Also 5m seems a bit of a steal, especially as he is going to a team whom are one our rivals!

We should be able to compete with these teams in transfer market!

Its not just the transfer fee, they are probably offering Dann 50K per week approx, way above Wolves pay structure, and if we pay him that sort of money every other player will quite rightly expect their wage higher, which could add 10 millions plus to our yearly wage bill

Don’t think we were ever going to sign him!! And quite rightly not going to break our wage cap for him, I think the fans should realise we aren’t in debt and were in profit, why try to get our club into debt for the sake of over paid players.

Number 1, its not about the fee, its about his WAGES. Perhaps we should have competed with Blues when they gazumped us last time Dann was available? I mean, look where Blues are now!

i dont have any understanding into why west brom did not go for this player?
he would of been a great addition to our shaky defense.
get the dollars out in january please!
