Aston Villa defender Neil Taylor gets two-game international ban for Seamus Coleman tackle
Villa defender Neil Taylor has been banned for two international games for the tackle which left Republic of Ireland captain Seamus Coleman with a double leg break.
Taylor was sent off in the 69th minute of Wales' goalless World Cup qualifying draw between the Republic and Wales at Dublin's Aviva Stadium on March 24, and was therefore due to serve an automatic one-match suspension.
But FIFA's disciplinary committee have increased Taylor's sanction to two matches, meaning the full-back will miss Wales' next two World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Austria.
Meanwhile, Villa boss Steve Bruce is hoping for a 'hugely busy summer' as he bids for promotion next season.
He said: "I am pleased the fans are seeing some shoots of recovery and the players are showing some resilience – we have a wonderful support.
"I will do my best to turn things around and get where we want to get to.
"Most of the supporters know it will take time. I have hopefully a hugely busy summer ahead."
