Transfer deadline day: Aston Villa sign Bury defender Jacob Bedeau
Aston Villa have completed the signing of young Bury defender Jacob Bedeau for an undisclosed fee.
Villa were among a host of clubs linked with the promising defender who's impressed during his spell at Gigg Lane.
The 17-year-old centre back has started just six games for Bury this season following links with some of the country's biggest clubs - including Manchester United and Manchester City.
Speaking on the Aston Villa website, Bedeau expressed his excitement after signing a two-and-a-half year deal at Villa Park.
"I'm looking forward to taking that opportunity and developing even more at such a big club." He said.
"I'll always be grateful to Bury for giving me a chance so I would like to say thank you to them and wish them all the best for the rest of the season.
"I can't wait to get started at Aston Villa."
Villa are also close to completing a deal for Brentford striker Scott Hogan, who's reportedly agreed terms with the club ahead of a deal worth up to £12m.
