Villa midfielder Jack Grealish is back in training and could be brought back in from the cold after Villa's humiliating defeat against Liverpool.

Grealish had been out with a combination of tonsillitis and an ankle injury after being banished to the subs' bench by Villa boss Remi Garde. But the 20-year-old could find himself back in contention for a starting place following the worst home league defeat for Villa in more than 80 years at the weekend.

Garde had already pulled the plug on a sunshine break for his players in the wake of Sunday's St Valentine's Day massacre, insisting on hard work for his under-fire team.

Meanwhile, Villa's former assistant boss Ray Wilkins warned players to stay away from social media following the furore over Joleon Lescott's now infamous 'pocket tweet' of a £125,000 supercar.

Wilkins said: "I've got to say, go nowhere near it.

"He (Lescott) is, trust me, a very nice bloke and it's totally out of character to stick that on there.

"Normally he has a guy that drives a Mercedes for him, but certainly not that one that was posted. Stay away from those things (social media accounts).

"You're just bringing it upon yourself."
