Aston Villa fans spoke to Nathan Judah on the imminent appointment of Remi Garde.

The former Lyon manager was the No.1 choice to succeed Tim Sherwood and is believed to have thrashed out a deal after talks over the weekend with owner Randy Lerner and chief executive Tom Fox.

He was set to sign a three-year contract after Bastia coach Reginald Ray agreed to become one of his assistants at Villa Park. Ray has been Bastia's assistant coach since 2010.

It is expected 49-year-old Garde will watch from the stands at White Hart Lane with caretaker boss Kevin MacDonald taking charge for the final time.
