Christian Benteke won't commit to Aston Villa

Christian Benteke refused to rule out a move away from Villa after finally speaking about his future.

The striker, believed to have a £32.5 million buy-out clause in his contract, is interesting the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea after scoring 12 goals in 13 games to keep Tim Sherwood's side in the Premier League.

On Monday, Benteke's agent Eric Kismet stated his client wanted to be playing Europea League or Champions League football next season.

And Benteke said: "He knows what I want and I'll let him do the job.

I don't know, I don't think about Aston Villa now. I did my season with Villa and now I am focused with the national team.

"It's important to play. If you want to be in the first 11 you have to play in your club."

Meanwhile, Burnley right-back Kieran Trippier is being targeted by Villa boss Sherwood.

The defender, who has enjoyed two impressive seasons at Turf Moor and is also interesting Spurs and Bournemouth, is believed to have a £3.5 million release clause with Sherwood known to want to strength his defence.

It is understood Villa will listen to offers for out-of-favour Matthew Lowton, Aly Cissokho and Joe Bennett.
