Tim Sherwood 'sick' after FA Cup final loss

Villa boss Tim Sherwood admitted to "feeling sick" after watching his team be outclassed by Arsenal in the FA Cup Final.

Goals from Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez, Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud secured a commanding 4-0 win for the Gunners who have now lifted the trophy a record breaking 12 times.

And after seeing his side struggle to hold on to possession or create any clear cut chances, Sherwood admitted his side were second best on the day.

"I'm feel sick – I'm very, very disappointed," he said.

"I can't make any excuses for that today, Arsenal were too good for us.

"We couldn't impose ourselves on them or nullify what they had.

"They've got a team of world class footballers and they had too much quality for us."
