The Villa boss has lost his last six straight games ahead of the Premier League trip to Upton Park tomorrow.

Allardyce was under pressure last season with fans calling for his head at the start of the year, but has survived and has taken them to fifth in the Premier League this term.

Lambert said: "That's what you do. I've got some really good players so I don't have any fears about that whatsoever."

"Sam has been through it and he has been there and bought the T-shirt. He has been over the course before and has a really good side.

"Even when it was all happening, I remember from the outside looking in it was not nice seeing that from any crowd doing that to a manager.

"But he came through it and that's what you do, you come through it.

"Some others might like [opposition managers getting abuse] but me personally, I don't like seeing it because I know how hard the job is.

"When results go for you then great, but if not then you know what's coming."
