Brad Guzan today claimed Villa’s dour draw at Hull has maintained their momentum heading into the international break.
Saturday’s 0-0 draw at the KC Stadium had little in the way of entertainment but stretched Villa’s unbeaten Premier League run to three games – their best spell since December last year.
Keeper Guzan also kept a clean sheet for the second time in three league games and while he acknowledged they had not done enough to win, he said the squad will be focusing on the positives.
“At the end of the day, a point on the road is not the worst result, but at the same time, I think we lacked a bit going forward. I don’t think we created enough chances,” he said.
“But you take the positive from it and the clean sheet is definitely a bonus. Going into the international break, it’s three games on the bounce where we are undefeated.”
