Villa chief Paul Lambert today insisted Libor Kozak needs time to adapt to the Premier League.
The claret and blues boss reckons the ex-Lazio man can be a hit in England but must be allowed to settle.
Lambert has drawn comparisons to Christian Benteke after the Belgian scored just once in his first six games in his 23-goal debut season last term.
Kozak scored the winner in last weekend’s 1-0 victory at Norwich but Lambert called for patience with the £7m man.
“He’s only been here for a few weeks. He hasn’t been here that long at all,” said Lambert.
“It’s the same with Christian, it took him a few weeks to get going and the rest is history.”
Benteke is out with a hip injury but Lambert hopes to have the five-goal hitman back within the next three weeks.
