Boss Paul Lambert today insisted Villa’s goal-shy strikers can ease the pressure on Christian Benteke.
The claret and blues go to Norwich tomorrow with Benteke having scored four of their five Premier League goals.
Gabby Agbonlahor and Andi Weimann are yet to net with Antonio Luna the only other man to score in the top flight this season.
But Lambert has backed his misfiring hitmen to help Benteke as they look to reignite their season after three straight defeats.
He said: “I’ve got a front group who can score – Gabby, Andi, (Libor) Kozak, (Nicklas) Helenius, (Aleksandar) Tonev. I know I’ve got a threat.
“Andi will score, Gabby will score. We’ve got too much of a threat for those boys not to score. Midfield is an area we’d like to score from, but they are the lads who do the real hard graft and they are up and down.
“There are goals in the side. I’ve got options now and I didn’t have that last season.”
But Villa also have problems in defence as they hunt their first clean sheet for 26 games without the injured Jores Okore, out for the season with cruciate knee ligament damage.
Nathan Baker and Ciaran Clark are battling to replace him at Carrow Road.
