Aston Villa let Fabian Delph go to Leeds on loan
Friday 20th January 2012, 1:43PM GMT.
Aston Villa today allowed midfielder Fabian Delph to rejoin former club Leeds on loan until February 25.
Villa can recall the 22-year-old midfielder at any stage during his 28-day loan spell and also have the option to increase the length of his stay at Elland Road at any time during the period.
Delph, who joined Aston Villa for £8m from Leeds in August 2009, has only made 25 appearances for the claret and blues having struggled with injuries over the past couple of seasons.
Boss Alex McLeish said: “We felt that Fabian needed to go out and Leeds was the right time and club. He started the season in the team but hasn’t played for a while.”
