Aston Villa striker Darren Bent no longer feels ‘on trial’ with England

Aston Villa striker Darren Bent today claimed he no longer feels as though he is “on trial” with England having gained experience on the international stage.
Bent played 63 minutes of England’s surprise 1-0 win over World and European champions Spain and appears to have been earmarked by Fabio Capello as the player to lead the attack at Euro 2012.
The 27-year-old said: “When you’re in and out of the squad, or not in it so often, you feel as if every game is a trial. I’m more relaxed now because I’ve played more games.
“It gives me massive belief. There’s a long old way yet to the Euros, so I’ll have to keep playing well.
