Jermaine Jenas ready to ‘reignite’ his career at Aston Villa
Friday 4th November 2011, 3:45PM GMT.
Jermaine Jenas is ready to provide the spark in the Aston Villa midfield and reignite his career – starting against Norwich.
Since completing a transfer deadline day loan move to the claret and blues from Tottenham on August 31, Jenas has become more acquainted with the treatment table than his team-mates.
A thigh problem picked up in training in his first week followed by an Achilles injury had led to some fans to label him the 28-year-old an injury dud.
But, after a two-month spell on the sidelines, Jenas is ready to explode into life.
He said: “I can’t wait to put that Villa shirt on. It will take me a few games to hit my peak but the excitement and the adrenaline of playing will go through me and give me the extra energy needed.
“I am eager just to get out there now and help the team out. This is potentially the biggest move of my career to reignite what I know is within me as a player.”
