Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish vows to pull his players into line
Friday 28th October 2011, 11:00AM BST.
Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish today warned his players he will not shirk away from pulling them into line should they break club rules.
Midfielder Barry Bannan was suspended earlier this week as the club continue their internal investigation into his arrest on suspicion of drink driving.
The Villa boss was reluctant to discuss the details or consequences of Bannan’s alleged offence, including how long the 21-year-old would be unavailable for.
McLeish said: ““We have to have discipline, but I’m not going to add to the statement that was made about Barry.
“We will just have to wait and see how long the enquiry takes. But he is not available this weekend. There will be no pre-judging of anything.”
