Time to map out a plan for Villa's future
- Says blogger Matthew Turvey
Gabby Agbonlahor is backing UFC
Wednesday 19th October 2011, 9:01AM BST.
Ultimate Fighting fan Gabby Agbonlahor has thrown his weight behind fellow Brummie Vaughan Lee who makes his UFC debut on home turf next month.
Bantamweight fighter Lee squares up to American Chris Cariaso on November 5 at the LG Arena and will be watched by the Aston Villa striker.
Agbonlahor said: “I am a big fan of UFC and travelled to Las Vegas to see some of the UFC event, so I’m definitely coming to the show to support Vaughan.
“It should be a great night and hopefully Vaughan can do the city proud by winning his first fight.”
Lee added: “The gym where I train is in Erdington where Gabby is from and he knows a few of the guys who go down there, so it’s obviously great to have the support of a local legend.”
Tickets for the event are available from www.ufc.com.
